Does anyone know of any kitty rescue groups in Wyoming? I am finishing up my degree this summer and then leaving Laramie in August for grad school. I found out a few days ago that the community we're moving too has restrictions on the number of pets you can have. I have to re-home my Ragdoll and my Turkish Angora and I cannot find any sort of rescue in the entire state. The stress of the situation is breaking my heart. I love my cats and I am desperate to find a safe place for them where I don't have to worry about them being put down.

Breed specific is fine or just a rescue group that can help them find good forever homes. My time is short.

Please feel free to DM me or reply to this post. Any and all suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

I think you might have better luck looking in Denver. You're more likely to find specific breed rescues and with a bigger population base, you're also more likely to find a group that might be able to help you.

There are a number of Ragdoll owners on here who might have better/more insight. If they don't appear by themselves, change your title to have the word "Ragdoll" in it to catch their attention.

Good luck.

Did you check their pet policy before you bought it? That's the first thing that I would have done.

There are a limited number of places we could afford to buy and when we found one that was affordable and allowed my son to go to a highly rated school, we took it. He has to be my primary concern.

Who has ever heard of a community that limits the number of inside pets you can have inside YOUR OWN HOUSE? Not I.

If it's a mobile home community, they can. Even though it's your own house, the land doesn't belong to you, so they can restrict them. I lived in one myself at one time, and they had a two pet limit.

Our subdivision covenants say two adult pets per households, but it's considered to be either unenforceable or a minimum number to have. Woof Wagon lady down the street has six small dogs (she'll get them all together to take for car rides with the windows open every so often) and no one really cares because the dogs are well-behaved and stay in the yard when they're out.
