And resist the urge to quickly pull your hand away as that triggers their prey drive. Do your hiss/growl and then slowly pull your (finger/hand/foot) away...then do the total ignoring thing after that.
And ditto to the advise to use a toy to engage your cat as much as you can.

My cat was exactly the same. You could never pet it, ever. It would always bite you. Around 7-8 months she would bite half the time you touched her and by 1 year she was like a normal cat. She only bites now if you really started messing around with her.
