I want to say thank you again for the kind wishes for Kimber and also give you all some rather somber news that I received today. Kimber went to the vet again this morning and it was determined that she probably has cancer. It is also possible that she may have ingested something which may be producing the lump in her stomach. They're going to perform a biopsy and ultrasound to figure out which it is. If it is cancer we will have to put her down. She is only 8 years old. My mother and I are for once not arguing...funny how something like this makes other matters seem so trivial. Here's to my precious kitty...I'll keep you guys posted when we receive test results.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry to hear about the news. I had a cat that passed on due to bone cancer and I understand all to well. I hope the best for you right now.

I am very sorry to see this about your beloved Kimber. Keep us posted. And if letting her go is all that can be done, you will know that she had all your love and never suffered because you loved her enough to spare her that.

Oh gosh I am so sorry. What in the world could she have ingested? I will be praying as hard as I can that it is not cancer and that whatever is causing the lump in her tummy can be removed safely and she will be right as rain. Kimber knows that you love her with all your heart and that you will do what's best for her even if it is something that hurts your heart. Please do keep us posted and hugs from tookey to you and Kimber. I agree all of the things we humans think are so important just fly out the window when one of our fur babies get sick. Does put things in perspective.

If Kimber has small cell lymphoma, it is treatable (not curable, but treatable). The biopsy and ultrasound were the most expensive part for us. Our cat is on Leukeran and Prednisolone (drugs cost are reasonable) and doing VERY well. She has had minimal side effects that went away quickly.

Don't jump too quickly until you've done a little research. I'll direct message a site that has been very valuable to us.
