I'm gonna be without my cats and dogs when we go on our trip. It'll feel strange sleeping in a bed without an animal. I know I'll have fun, but I'll miss them as well.

Anybody else miss your pets when you go away?

I haven't gone away even for an overnight in over 8 years. I don't have anyone I trust to care for my (special needs) kitties so I only take day trips. But if I did travel, I know I would be worryng about them and missing them the whole time. Heck I miss them if I am gone from the house for more than a few hours!

If you have made arrangements for them that you are satisfied with hopefully you will be able to enjoy your vacation without worrying too much.

I know someone who travesl for work who has a web cam set up so she can see her cats at any time from her computer, no matter where she is. Plus she has a cat sitter she knows and trusts.

Have a fun relaxing vacation!

Shoot, I miss them when I go to work every day.

We went to my mom's for four days over July 4, and for once we didn't have the neighbors come in a check on them, feed them, etc. All we did was worry about the cats! They were fine, and when we got home they were happy to see us and still had plenty of Blue Buffalo in their bowls, but still we were freaking out the whole drive home. Silly us.

And from now on we're having the neighbor come in at least every other day!

Enjoy your vacation.

The hardest part is reaching down to pet one and there are none there! Bedtime is the pits without them too.

Hell, yeah! Whenever I travel, it sure is not the same without my pets.

Funny thing is, as another poster mentioned, if I take too long - in their criteria, this is about more than a weekend - when I am back they would get mad and wouldn't look at me for a few hours... but then they were no longer angry and came jump all over mama.
