This morning, a historic event happened. Max and Megan, biological brother and sister from the same litter, came out of the womb batting at one another and have done so ever since. They have just turned four years old, so it has been years of hisses, swats, fights, and sibling rivalry.

As I walked into our third bedroom to check in on Whispers (who uses that room's closet as his nest), my eyes beheld something I thought I would never see. Here is Max and Megan lying side by side on the floor! For years, I have coaxed these two to love one another......and for the first time, this morning, peace between the two!

And, just to make sure nothing gets out of hand, Mr. Security aka Cuddles is in the corner, watching over the two siblings. He has been known to actually hit at misbehaving cats and he seriously means business.

So, for those out there who have problematic kitties on their hands, LOVE really does conquer all. Just look at the picture and see for yourself! Um, yes, Megan is a bit, how shall I say, unsure and her body language is a bit on the tense side. But, she is laying there with Max! This really is a new beginning for the both of them.

HURRAY!

LMAO at Cuddles the bouncer!

Those are some pretty cats. My two -- also siblings, also 4 -- swat, hiss and battle all day long to the point where Cookie will spend much of the day hiding behind the sofa, which is placed so that she can get between the sofa and the wall, but Checkers -- who is a little more portly -- cannot. But then in the evenings, they both curl up together on their blanket and snooze. Just like human siblings.

You have no idea how many laughs I get out of Cuddles. And he is serious!

FYI.....I would NOT want to be in someone's shoes who made a threatening move towards me. Knowing Cuddles the way I do, he would sink his fangs in a leg and not let go. Either that, or a bit higher in the region where the family's jewels lay.
