I've made a stupid mistake.

Last week I was sitting at breakfast. My 6 year old male orange tabby Duke was on one of the chairs. He helps us recycle by shredding the newspapers after we are done with them, and sometimes before. I took a vitamin pill and stuck it underneath one of the newspapers on the table. Of course he started pawing at the newspaper, and then he went crazy and jumped on top of the table.

Now, every day he wants to play this stupid game. Yes, I know, cats shouldn't eat vitamins, but so far he only plays with them. Please don't make the same mistake and teach your cat to do this!

You sould see Neo try and get at my salmon oil capsules. I've become paranoid about leaving any of my vitamins and supplements out in the open. There's a smell there that they love.

He might forget about the "toy" after a bit. Or, you could encourage him by sticking a treat under the paper.

Try sticking a rattle mouse under the paper and see what happens!
