Patience, my dear!
I have her acclimating in our bathroom, which isn't the most photogenic of places! She is NOT shy, and we are going to get overdosed on her lovin'! I have never known a cat to purr so much! I cracked the door open for brief periods today. Astra, my oldest cat, has been acting totally unconcerned. Cashew is in a little bit of a dither with fluffed tail, and new kitty Daina did growl at Cashew. I believe in taking it slow and am following the directions from a friend from a rescue group to get them used to each other. As little stress as possible for all involved is the way to go! Tomorrow, I'll "show" Daina other rooms in the house when the others are kept separate. My husband and I are so thrilled with her. She was at the SPCA since the end of June, and I bet her days were numbered. She is such a gift!
