We use World's Best Cat Litter | Corn Litter For Maximum Odor-Control (multiple cats formula - we have 2 cats). When the poop is "fresh", sometimes it still smells (possibly because they aren't always covered/buried...) but normally it does a pretty good job. Some people don't like the corn smell (?) but I don't have a problem with it. It have a bit of smell when I first open the bag or when I add new litter to the pan, but I don't smell it once it's in the pan (we've a covered litter box though).

If you search online, you may still find a 'try a small bag' free rebate.

We have six foster cats at the moment and Tidy Cats with the Red top works the best for us. We scoop once a day and have no issues. We have tried nearly every brand and it is the only one that the cats like and that fights odors. Worlds Best Cat Litter and Feline Pine just didn't do it for us. Didn't clump very well and was too expensive for the amount of times we had to change it. Tidy Cat Small Spaces is nice (the orange lid) but the cats didn't seem to like the citrus smell as much as I did.

It is so tempting to try to train them to use the toilet but since we have no idea how long they will stay in our house, it may be a wasted effort.

I Love this:
Cat Attract Litter - Precious Cat Litters - Quality Cat Litter (http://www.preciouscat.com/attract-litter-p-5.html - broken link)

99.9% dust free (have a kitty with asthma)

I have 2 kitties...
and 4 boxes, and I still scoop everyday, once in while every other day.

and...
I really, well, can't even remember when i have changed/threw away, the remaining litter.
stays clean, less fuss.
even if I wash the box itself, sometimes i still keep the litter as it is not really dirty, just pour in another box, still use it.

would get a 2nd box.
2 boxes for one kitty, I would do that.
boxes in good location ... For the Kitty, quite as possible, and a peaceful non "trapped" location.

so, even if you were concerned with $ (don't even really know the price of this, just know that it works, so, thats what I go and get, easy as that, plus cats do Not like change!)
then this I think would be all the better price wise too, as I said, I rarely have to change the remaining contents, lasts forever!
With four or even 2 boxes, who wants to spend time "box changing" once a week or even 2 times a month.
don't know if i ever did that hah! and my kitties are 7! and in the past had used and tried different kinds of litter.

Oh, actually, I think that I had to with that Wheat litter, it was the worst!!! smelt like ammonia, bad in 1 days time, and it would stick to the bottom of the bottom of the box, so I had to change it then, but it was horrible, it didn't last in my house long and I return the partly used bag back to the store.

ok, so sorry for the story...

Bottom line....

try it!!! this litter--- works great!!!
added plus: Kitties like the smell... and its Natural and still Clumping!!!

hate the other ones with so much dust and odor.

tried the Corn... it think-- Worlds Best Litter... no good, wanted it to be.
tried the Wheat... SWheat... no good.

Hope this helps and doesn't confuse ya!!! hah!

I scoop twice daily. It's not a big hassle, and it keeps the atmosphere clear and the cat happy. And if the cat isn't happy, ain't nobody happy!

I switched to Arm & Hammer Essentials natural clumping litter last year and really love how it works. Clumps well and has a nice, clean scent. I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes, which I scoop every day. Works for me!

I'm using a mixture of World's Best Cat Litter and ScoopAway. Works well. However, I scoop out the box every day and sometimes twice a day. That is the only sure-fire way to keep the box and the surroundings totally odor free!

About a year ago, I decided to spend a little extra money after reading a LOT of reviews about cat litter (previously used Tidy Cat) and I purchased "The Worlds Best Cat Litter" brand. It IS THE best stuff on earth. I have two male cats, I fill their litter box with this stuff, scoop out the clumps and it's the best clumping too. It's all natural, no odor, the litter is very dry, clumps well and works great. I only change the litter completely out of their boxes about once a month vs I was doing it every few days before.

My cats seem to love it too and it didn't take long for them to transition into it.

I use fresh step, it's the only litter I've ever used, works fine but I guess I don't have much to compare it to. I mix some baking soda with it and it seems to help with odor.
