When they say they measure to the tip of the tail bone, what does that mean? Since the caudal vertebrae go all the way down the tail does this mean the end of the tail?

I love Maine Coons. They are so smart and cuddly. Stewie is one long kitty.

Yeah, it's from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. Maine Coons have great personalities from what I know. "Gentle giants" is one description I've heard.

I suspect Cooper is a Maine Coon, he's definitely the size of one! He is a gentle giant though, he's very laid back and very affectionate.

Stewie is a beautiful cat!

my maine coon is fairly big, but much less long and lanky than stewie.

that cat could reach up and steal a piece of meat off the dining room table.

That settles it. When I get another cat (probably in several years), I am going to look for a Maine Coon. I have a pound kitty that has got to have some Maine Coon in him; I can tell by his looks and personality. They are awesome cats.
