As some readers already know a 3 to 4 year old Maine Coon showed up about 2 months ago at my door after having wandered the neighborhood for about a year. Since that time he has revealed a sweet personality and very very affectionate. He is box trained.

We think a family moved and he took off. As I said after a year he came in and I decided to keep him safe and warm until someone could adopt him. I would keep him but I travel with months away and a vet and several friends think it better for him if he stay in Alaska, he is built for it. A muscular, long haired cat (declawed in front) who survived green space for a year.

He has a high tolerance for pushing and pulling if you have children. Once when I gripped to hard to see if he was declawed in back, he put his teeth on my hand but did not come close to breaking my skin. Just wanted to say "hey"!

...if interested pm me. I have a guarantee from the animal rescue people that they will rescue him and find him a home if no one here takes him in so don't worry.

Not sure if you did this already but you may want to post this in the Alaska forum as well. Good luck with finding him a home.

This thread was from almost 2 years ago. I suggest you go to a shelter, or look into breed specific rescue to find a special kitty for you and your family. Good luck.

(it is very unwise to post your phone number in a public forum)
