Ok, does anyone else have cats who do this, or are mine weird (ok, weirder than usual)?
We have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes. Both cats use one box to pee and the other box to poop. There's never poop in the pee box and there's rarely any pee in the poop box, it's pretty much exclusive.
What's up with that? I think it's kind of cute.

Interesting, I have to say I have never heard of a cat doing this but whatever works for them.

Yeah, I kind of figured that, cats being territorial to a degree, that it would fall out as one cat using one box exclusively and the other cat using the other box. But this is much funnier than I ever expected.

I have three cats six litter trays all end up with both pee and poo in them.
I have never had cats that use one litter tray for a pee and another for a poo, I don't know if its strange or not.
I have seen my boys queue up/line up to use one litter tray now that was comical.
They love to soil a litter tray I have just cleaned, little gits.

I had 3 boxes for 4 cats. They used two the same way and the third was for combo emergency use. LOL
And my cat is also loves to make a mess right after I have cleaned. Buggers!

We have two boxes for two cats. Some days they poop in one and pee in the other; other days, they alternate.
Who knows what goes on in those little cat brains ...
They make us aware when it's been too long between scoopings -- they fling the poo out of the box and onto the floor. Little brats! LOL

LOL! Well, it seems the one common thread is that they all love to dirty a box that's just been cleaned. Buggers and brats is right! Toby will pace around and cry at us until we're done so he can get in it.
Thanks for sharing all your stories -- they're a hoot!

My cats do this all the time! But, it is never the same box! Who ever "goes" first, right after the cleaning, will set the trend for the day.

My cat does the same thing. He has two boxes. And uses one exclusively for #1, the other for #2...strange...
