While my wife was eating her morning bowl of cereal (yuck) she observed my Princess kitty sniff the litter box and seemingly show her disgust because it was not freshly scooped for the day yet. Princess took matters into her own paws and scratched a bunch of litter out on the floor (thank God for vinyl floor coverings). Once she had a pile of litter to suit her she got out of the litter box and did her business on the potty pile she had made for herself. I think my wife had new incentive to do some scooping.

LOL!!!
Whenever I check Weasie's litter box, she's following right behind to supervise. Once everything has been scooped out and the litter restirred, that isn't enough to satisfy her. It takes a fastidious sniffing of the entire box and maybe a couple of test pawings before I'm given the OK.

Once my DD told Beau, "Okay, remind me to scoop your cat box today". And she forgot, later she found a "gift" on her bed. Beau definitely "reminded" her to scoop his box. She still can't get over it. She says she is going to be more careful about what she says to him from now on.

LOL! My cats will yell in my face if i don't scoop their boxes first thing after they've been fed and done their "morning business". I'm sure they'd retaliate with spite poops if I wasn't as religious about scooping very, very quickly after they've used a box...even though they have four to choose from at any given time.

My male H2 takes his disdain for waste one step further, though...when it's cold/rainy outside, my chihuahuas will NOT go out to do their business so I lay down potty pads, which H2 HATES with a passion...as soon as one of the dogs does their business on it, he yells until I come over and clean it up...he even tries to bury it by pulling a corner of the pad over the "tainted area"...LOL!

Our cats do the same thing; it's their way of training us. They communicate their disdain for our hygiene practices by dumping all their little Tootsie Rolls out of the litter boxes. What's really fun is if I'm not watching where I walk, and ...

Sounds like a "smart" and "finicky" little girl to me! The reason why I love automatic litter boxes!
