My youngest cat Baby Kitty loves my new touch lamp beside bed. When I touch lamp I grab his brush and groom him which he goes crazy over that. Now he runs in before me or in middle of night and touches lamp with his nose and then paws at brush. He also figured out if I ignore him he noses it several more times until light is real bright, so accomadate him on low light.

He's a very smart kitty. We have one of those lamps and our siamese never figured out how to turn it on.

Maybe you should get a clapper instead , although it would be so great if he figured that out, too!

Baby Kitty IS smart!

Where'd you find the touch lamp? Mine died a while back and I have been unable to find another.

That's hilarious! Although maybe not so much in the middle of the night.

Cats always figure out a way to get what they want. My male cat will dump over the basket of cat grooming implements on the bookshelf when he wants to be brushed. I guess he figures if I have to pick up the brush, I might as well put it to its intended use while it's in my hand. Funny how he doesn't stick his paws out, though, when I pick up the nail clippers ...

Or one that lights to noise like a meow. I don't mind what he does in middle of night cause he is just one of 3 very spoiled cats that can do no wrong.lol

We found it at a garage sale for 1.00. It is a large brass one with decorative glass shade.

I also see them at Flea markets. We moved here from Somerset,KY and they had a lot of them.

Just don't get one of those faucets you touch to turn on and off... I have a friend who has to turn his water completely off to the whole house when he goes anywhere because his cats LOVE playing with the water.
