This adorable cat, Willow, has been found strolling down 20th St by Gramercy Park 5 yrs after disappearing from her home in Boulder, Colorado.

She clearly wanted a big city lifestyle

I saw the news, it says she looked like somebody had been taking care of her.Probably somebody found her and took it with them.
Now she's going back to the original owners.

Yes, I saw that news story as well. Interesting to think about whether or not she will remember her Colorado people.

That is an amazing, but not unheard of, story. Imagine the original family, long having given up any hope of the cat's return.

Great story. My guess is that someone found her and took her to Colorado. Now she has slipped out the door again! Interesting that whoever was taking care of her hasn't seen it on the news. The story includes one of my favorite quotes:
  • Mark Twain: "If a man could be crossed with a cat, it would improve man but it would deteriorate the cat."

Yet another story that supports keeping kitties as indoor cats.

Not particularly relevant in this one though. Supports microchipping an indoor cat really (something I never did). The cat escaped when they were having renovations done to the house. Sounded like it was always an indoor cat, and also that it couldn't have lived very long on the streets.

Amazing odds to get the cat back. Way too many different things should have conspired against it.

Our cats are chipped and are indoor only. You never know what can happen and one manages to get outside.
