When I used to do cat rescue, we would name the kittens after alcoholic drinks. People thought that the names were so cute, that they adopted them. The food names worked, too.

We have had cats named after sweet things - though some of the little rascals havn't been so sweet with names like Sugar, Brownie, Sweetpie and Gumball.

That's funny! I just had some people come into the shelter where I volunteer a couple of weeks ago. All of their animals are named after food and they were leaning more towards the white cat we have up for adoption because he could be named Egg. (not that it was the only deciding factor...it was just helping them narrow down it down between their favorites)

Egg? That's great! Makes a cute name (for a cat - don't know about a dog though...)

These are all just great names! Now all we need is a new cat (though our old one isn't quite ready for one..)
