Newman's Organic Chicken & Brown Rice - ok but w/ grains? (food, feed)

I hate to try this food if not a good choice (also can try cans of Org. Turkey w/ Salmon) but I can get a good deal on this company for just $1/can. That saves me $ from either Weruva or Soulistic cans that I use now. But not sure if Newman's 5.5 oz cans are BPA-free, & of course, how negative brown rice (& oat bran, I think) is to cat health? I know whitefish is in other flavors but Chicken/Rice doesn't have that fish in it.

I don't feed rice, personally. Have you tested these flavors on your cat, btw? I offered a couple Newman's Own flavors and she wouldn't touch them although she is not very picky. Can't say I blamed her, even Fancy Feast was more appetizing than the goo that came out of those cans.

I actually like/trust this company and have my sister feeding her cats their products in her rotation.

Of course my cats won't eat it.
