Probably a good idea. Jasper had a "taste" of outdoors awhile back, he jumped into two feet of snow. He has not gone near the door since then.
heh heh, silly cats
Our Cailleach is perfectly happy to stay inside and wants no part of the outside. She does not have a cat tree or anything like that and no silk flowers to eat either.
She has a couple fuzzy mice, a fish on a stick and a play cube and of course the dog she pesters often.
Since I'm essentially camping out in the mobile home I live in now, I'm thinking why not take it a step further and design a jungle room and use real plants and add a water feature.
I have two small outdoor fountains I bought years ago, before indoor fountains were being sold, and although I've had a strict "No plants, No flowers" rule (because I was new to caring for cats and didn't want to take a chance) this place is sunny and feels like an extension of the outdoors rather than the formal, velvet-lined Victorian Gothic sanctuary I created in San Francisco.
Perhaps a Victorian botanical theme with Steampunk accents. I didn't think there was much chance of making this place feel like anything but a trailer, but ... from one picture of a cat tree with fake leaves ....
While I may claim my domain in the kitchen / dining / great room area...
My DH may claim his garage / mancave & deck as "his"...
That "sunporch" belongs solely my kitty's "domain".... it is "hers" used like a "cattery" to enjoy her outside.
P.S. If OP needs an inexpensive cattree... try "ROSS"... I saw one for only $69... a great deal!
This is more formal, and has darker colors than my initial idea, but those elements Would work better with the Steampunk accents ... cats ... cats ... cats
