A year ago a family moved in next door, (row house). They had a new dog, 1/2 Russle Terrior, don't know what else. Anyway, they kept the dog in a kennel whenever they were out. Naturally the dog barked and cried, scratching at the door of the kennel.
It was about a week into this that my 2 older female cats began to get nasty to each other. The thing is these two girls were adopted at the same time at the SPCA a year and 1/2 before. They weren't littler mates, one had been there for 5 months, the other not quite a month.
Well, after a very long day of this dog crying and barking and them fighting I called my landlady and told her. It was stressing me out as well. I can't stand by and witness suffering towards any living thing.
I had told the lady once what the dog does when they"re away and she got hostile towards me. Anyway, to cut to the point, they got rid of that dog and got another, which doesn't bark.
The thing is the girls are still snappy at each other. I wonder if the "energy" over there is senced my them and this is the responce?
One thing I've noticed is that Kitty will do a camando on Suzy when she things no one sees her, then Suzy gets down right combative. Other times one will keep the others from going into the next room where I happen to be.
The other 2 cats ( Albert & Freddy) keep out of most of it.
They are fixed. Maybe it's just an Alfa thing, just strange it started right after these people moved in.
Any ideas please and thanks.
Chances are, they sense your energy that resulted from the conflict with the neighbor! Just relax and let it go and they will too!
If you didn't notice this was over a year ago. Please, and thanks
