Honey, I am sorry. and you are doing the best you can. My suggestions would be to give the cat another dose of benedryl and if you have liquid tylenol try that. (one dose shouldn't hurt) Wrap the cat up or make her comfortable and both of you just sleep if you can. In about 4 hours or when you awake, give another dose. Then in the morning, take her to the vet and see what options may be available. Best you can do with what you have available. good luck
Do not EVER give a cat Tylenol (acetaminophen). EVER. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is HIGHLY TOXIC to cats.
SCB1989: Praying for you kitty, hope she is doing better, keep us posted.
Your assessment of being hit by a car was probably accurate. Chances are you could not have saved her, with or without proper funding.
You made her as comfortable as you could. And you loved her. And that is what counts.
Run free Momma Cat.
Next time you are at the vet, you may want to ask for a painkiller to keep in stock. Due to the distance from the vet and lack of a pet ER, the vet should be able to provide this. We usually have cat approved pain killers, antibiotics, and fluids available in the event of an emergency.
Momma Cat must have had some internal injuries we didn't know about. She died in the night and Dad buried her this morning.
So sorry to hear that. I was worried that would be the case but didn't want to say that last night. I didn't think I could say anything that would be helpful as there really wasn't much you could do. It's quite probable that even if you could have gotten to a vet right away, there wouldn't have been anything that could have helped much except to hasten her along to the end....
