My cat had 4 kittens and they are about 10 weeks old.
Since it is time for kittens to rehome, I gave one of them away the day before yesterday.

Yesterday the mom cat seemed to be annoyed and kept walking.
At night, she suddenly started to attack the kittens and I have to separate them.

Some people suggest it is time for the cat to mate again.
Others say it is because she was angry for losing a kitten.

Any suggestion? I will have her spayed anyway.

"Time for the cat to mate again"?!!! I'm sorry, but what kind of idiot would tell you that? Do they know anything about how many cats are euthanized in shelters every day because there aren't enough homes for all of them? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET HER SPAYED ASAP. I know you say you are going to anyway, but why on earth wasn't she spayed already? Was she already pregnant when you got her or did she have an "accident"?

I can't tell you about the behavior, hopefully someone else will chime in about that.

Just a thought/guess maybe she is trying to wean them.
