You and I are close, I have 14 cats and 6 are solid black.
Black cats are given a bad rap by a lot of people. I love them!
We have 23 and 4 are solid black, and we have 2 tuxies, but every day here is (fill in the blank) cat appreciation day. Don't know what we'd do without em'. I didn't know there was a special day for them, but they deserve it...
Ssshhhh...quiet....I have an all black 19 yr. old kitty(inherited from my mom). Don't let her hear all of you talking about this appreciation day. She thinks EVERY day is her appreciation day!
I have three solid black kitties (brothers) who are pretty much identical, and as such, they "share" a name - "Little Black Kitty." When I took them in to be neutered, the woman at the vet's asked me the name of the first one.
"Little Black Kitty"
Then she asked me the name of the second one.
"Little Black Kitty."
And then the third......well, you get the idea.
Short of putting different colored collars on them to tell them apart, I really have no way to tell who's who - although when they are all together in a room, I can see some very subtle differences.
I love them - they are awesome - but one of them (or all of them) is really bad about going after my baby chicks and ducklings. I've had to chase him (them) down on more than one occasion to rescue a duckling or a chick - and I can't even be sure which one is the culprit. Grrrr.......
Awww, I missed out on it, but considering it was this past Friday, and the BF was here that day, my little Jinx got love from both of us that day! My little traitor will climb up on his lap all the time, but not mine!
