Well since my cat had her thyroid treatment, I've had a hard time feeding her something she likes. Prior to March she ate Wellness cans from 11/09 - 3/11, then switched to Weruva from 3/11 to 3/12. But then it all went downhill.

Vet put her on Friskies Special Diet, since her PH was too alkaline, in about July. I don't agree w/ this, as I at least want grain free & not a cheap brand. So I have tried all kinds of foods. From Nature's Variety (cans & their Frozen Raw), Soulistic, Merrick's Before Grain , etc. All to no avail. Then again retried Nat. Balance's Chick/Green Pea, & she eats it. I know so much is made of their recalls. So should I stay w/ them or go? lol

This has become harder than math problems when I was kid in school, hehe.

I know if you use Special Diet cans, & thus lower magnesium & slowing Struvite crystas fomation, you'll create Oxalate crystals due to calcium becoming too high (while preventing the original issue of the reason for lowering magnesium) to reduce Struvite crystal formation. Does this make sense? The cat's body knows how to attempt to maintain balance, & thus adjusts, by either going toward too much calcium or too much magnesium -- to even equilibrium out.

Hmm, this would be a cat physiologist's nightmare.

So what you all think on Nat. Balance cans??
