Honestly, I thought the same thing, and I almost edited my original post to add "I think I am in love with this firefighter!" You can see a bond between those 2 characters that belies the fact that they clearly just met each other. What wonderful, wonderful photos.
NK, I think I have seen these before but I can't remember where ... do you know where they are from?
No, I get photos from all the rescue sites, from FB friends and just wondering around the net. wonder what you would get if you googled Firefighter with rescued cat?
I am not sure. I think that they are there to save lives, even animals. Our cat was rescued by firefighters, they gave him oxygen and everything. Interesting, for a cat, in a fire, and fireman coming in with axes, and hoses, you would expect a cat to run and hide, our cat leapt into a fireman's arms, and clung to him like a spider monkey.
One life down. That cat was a major survivor. He had been rescued as a kitten, almost dead. But, he was special, and sent to us for our daughter. I truly believe that. It was not his time to go.
Look at the eyes of this cat--such a soul searching stare and look of gratitude. So I was wondering what kid, if any, firefighters get about rescuing pets?
I called the fire department when a neighbor could not get his cat out of an extremely high tree - had I not called, that cat would have died, she was already there in the cold for a few hours - and I was there when the cat came down, taken by the blessed firemen (who broke NYC regs to do it - they are not supposed to use equipment for this). I saw not a look of gratitude, but a stare in which the cat was simply traumatized. She was absolutely besides herself in fear, having stared down death. She sure felt indebted (cat in your photos), though, I think. Poor cat.

It looks like an ad to me, maybe for one of the companies that makes the mask?
Firefighter and kitty are too clean to have been in a fire!
OMFG I love those pics!! My bro is a FF and he saves duckies from the drains all the time. He sends me pics. He knows I'm obsessed with animals and would do everything he could to save one if he had to.

If your brother is a FF, then he is an angel, in my book. They all are, and I have no relatives who have ever been a FF, but they are angels.
I was thinking that poor cat was going to be exhausted after bathing to get all that soot off its fur. And the cat is definitely unconscious in the first picture. Nothing fake about this picture.
