So a few nights ago, Nimbus got a bag of potato dinner rolls off the counter, dragged them to the basement and DESTROYED THEM. I don't think he ate much or any of the bread, just tore the bag & bread up all over the floor. He put down the potato roll uprising, our house is now safe from pernicious bread products.
Then last night he demolished a roll of paper towels. I almost picked it all up and threw it away, but he did not seem to be done with them, and he was having fun. So I left it for now. Silly kitty!
Oh he is a hot mess! Does he let you groom him? Looks like he has longish hair. Such a pretty kitty! KK loves his grooming sessions.... I am told by the vet that since he is a little fatty, I have to groom him more often, even though he is a short hair!

Love the pics!!
Yeah, he does let me groom him. I brush him just about every day. But when he gets picked up, petted, or has been rolling around on the floor, his fur goes crazy. About all it takes to get it settled is for him to sit up and twitch his muscles and it all falls right into place, any that does not he fixes with a quick wash.
His coat is sorta medium-long. I do everything I can to prevent mats, he still gets the occasional one but they are always tiny and not too hard to take care of. I think the biggest we've seen is dime-sized. He's got such a soft, wooly undercoat, it sheds in little tufts and they get trapped in the longer hairs pretty easily. So if, say, he isn't in the mood to let me get his kitty-armpit brushed one day, we might find a wee tangle there the next. I've actually found that his little claw-clippers (they are the small, scissor style ones) work pretty well for gently snipping out tricky little mats. Full sized scissors are too scary for both of us, and too hard to maneuver without help.
Oddly, he is much more cooperative for nail clipping than he is for brushing.
All that playing wore him out, apparently. (I'm home with a sick kid today, and between checking on him have nothing better to do than stalk my cat around, camera in hand.)
Stretchy long cat...
And snoozes...
While I wouldn't choose the back door mat as my first choice for a nap spot, cats really have a way of making anyplace look like the most comfy in the world, don't they?
Does he have any interest in cat toys? Cat-furniture?
