Has anyone else stumbled upon these cat enclosures? I have two boxes in the outbuilding I was going to use for books, but instead donated the books to Goodwill. I never got to return these to Target. I justr may pick up a few more boxes and make something on the north side of the house for them where it's cooler in summer than the FL room or enclosure on the west end of the house.

Those dog "panels" seen in all the pet stores also work for cats.

I've been thinking of setting up a window in the meantime as his bird watching window. I could get some mirrored film to put on the glass so the birds can't see him, hang a cat perch on the window, and get one of those feeders that suctions onto the exterior glass...

I had him watching Youtube videos yesterday. Seriously they make videos for your cat to watch and post 'em on Youtube...got aquarium fishies and birds. When he heard the birdsong, Nimbus got all super-alert and started climbing all over the place looking for the birds.

As it gets warmer I'm definitely thinking of more ways to amuse my boy and give him some outdoors-time. Of course while enclosed or leashed.

It's worth a try. That would be like kitty-TV.

If you Google "cat enclosures" and also "cat cages" you will see more ideas for outdoor inclosures than you can imagine. You can also buy them ready made.

A saw a bird DVD for cats at Petsmart. I didn't buy it though. They have the sun porch and the outdoor enclosure now where they can watch the birds (and squirrels) on the feeders. They love it. We even have an outdoor enclosure that attached to our RV.

Seriously, Google as mentioned above. There's a cat enclosure for every situation and wallet.

Looks like a great alternative! Very reasonable in price!!! We got our kitties the "royal Suite" from cats on deck, but it is expensive. They sure do love it though. I had to close it off the end of November, due to the cold temps and the fact that one our kitties kept sticking her head out the catflap that they access the enclosure through. She would just sit there with her head sticking out, letting all the freezing cold air in. The kitties were NOT happy when they could no longer go out into the enclosure. We will open it back up soon and I know they will be so happy. Money well spent
