I've had a little tiny bit of luck recently with freeze-dried Primal nuggets crumbled as a topper. Fortiflora was a bust. She still gets some dry food but also with the Primal freeze-dried in there. Next up, actually starting to rehydrate the freeze-dried on its own. Have yet to try that, LOL. The latest canned food that's sparking some interest is a couple varieties of Weruva's new Cats in the Kitchen canned. Amazingly, no fish in the ones I'm trying(one is beef and chicken, one just chicken, one turkey and chicken), although the Primal I'm using is the chicken and salmon. (Primal says the salmon is wild caught and from the US and they have signed the Truth about Pet Food pledge as to the quality and origin of ingredients. As far as safety it should be good. As far as suitability, that is always debatable. Salmon makes up just 5% of the formula according to their extra product info.) They do also have a turkey formula that uses only turkey as the meat source.

I first got the Primal as a sample at a pet food store where I shop occasionally; the woman who was at the counter saw me looking at the bag and offered a sample because she had one available. So if you ever want to try these ask a store to carry it if they can give you a sample to try. (The frozen Primal nuggets actually come in a variety sampler pack which I bought once before and never really gave a good try after once.)

I swear, this cat and food....

Yes, certainly, if I was not clear, mixing them is only meant to be a short-term transitional measure to get the cat to at least try the wet food. I also would never save dry food that has been moistened, as it can grow bacteria very quickly.
