What are the pros and cons of using kitty litter as a substrate for a planted tank? Or, would I be better off using the classic eco-complete, etc. pre-made substrates for aquaria? Also, has anyone used the Walstad natural method? Any clumping litter will clump when moisture hits it so it doesn't seem like a good choice for an aquarium!

Also, not sure why this is in CATS if you're asking about FISH? Maybe a moderator can move it?
