It's really only if I am actively typing that he'll want to suddenly study my hands and smash his face into my wrists. When I'm browsing and scrolling with the mouse, he jumps back on the floor not caring. As soon as he sees me sit more upright and start to type, that's the end. He purrs and acts like I'll be typing until I die. haha
My computer doesn't get warm so they've never tried to sit on it. But, they loooove watching me scroll! They are just fascinated when the page moves and when they see words appear as I type. They love to sit just so I can barely see around their heads too. Plus, I keep the treats right next to the computer monitor so they're always trying to get to those. They are BOTH sitting here right now watching me type this. It never gets old.
I work from a home office, on occasion (maybe 50% of the week, sometimes more, sometimes less). My cat curls up next to me when I'm on my computer, usually in the afternoon 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
I have 2 cats. One usually walks between me and the screen when I'm on the computer. The other sits on any book I try to read. Talk about division of labor!
Our Benny will always sit on my lap while I'm on the computer. He anticipates when I'm going to the office and will sit on the desk waiting. I find it quite charming.
