Just an educated guess.... Charlie will probably be medium-long to long haired. He very much looks like my senior male Stormy did at that age. At about 2-1/2 yrs old Stormy grew the most luxurious long & silky coat that has a thick, light gray undercoat. His coat has thinned a bit with age, but is still beautiful. Fortunately he's always allowed the regular brushings that were necessary because he matts so easily. If you haven't already, you might think about starting a grooming routine with Charlie.

Thanks everyone, for your input!!!

Charlies mom has long hair but I do not know about his dad.

Last time I was at the vet with him I mentioned to her that he looks so different from his siblings and she told me about cats being able to be pregnant by more than one cat at a time! I had no idea!

All of his siblings are dark, but none of them have the coloring or different varieties going on as Charlie does.

To show how two kittens from the same litter can be so different, these two were little kittens when I first saw them. I fed them for a long time at my shop every night before they disappeared. Anyway, they are so very different in their coloration and fur that they don't even look related, but I know their history and know they are from the same Mom.

I also had a chance to witness this at my workplace back in 05. The mother cat was overall white with a few tabby stripe patches and a shorthair. Father #1 was a black/brown stripe tabby over white like a tuxedo and a shorthair. Father #2 was an all orange tabby also a shorthair. I saw both of them mate with the mother a day or so apart, and exactly 63 days later Mamma cat gave birth to 5 kittens.
1. male shorthair black/white Tuxedo
2. female longhair white w/ large solid black patches.
3. female longhair mostly white w/black-brown tabby patches
4. male shorthair overall white w/orange tabby patches
5. male shorthair overall orange tabby
It looked to me like the kittens got their color pattern (except for the Tuxie) from their mother, and their actual colors from their respective fathers. It was a very interesting litter in that respect. All went to good homes BTW.
