I am a cat owner in China. I adopted my cat on 31.08.2012 and before that time she was a stray cat. She was vacinated on 31.10.2012. She has been kept in my house for one year and has no chance of getting touch of other animals.
Is it possible that she is in rabies incubation period?
She accidentally licked an open wound in my arm yesterday, so I am quite concerned.
I wouldn't be concerned about rabies from your cat, nice kitty to lick you. Be sure to keep up her vaccinations however in case she gets out, cats do sometimes. Kind of you to adopt her =)
Also, if you are concerned about rabies see if you can be vaccinated. Here in the states the vaccine is expensive and is a series of shots given at two week intervals - painful too but so worth it. And once you've had the series there is only a booster required periodically.

As another poster said - if she had rabies she would be dead by now as it is always fatal. Thank you for adopting her.
