I gave Jasper some sardines last night, he really loved them. Is it okay for him to have sardines every day? I read some place tuna was bad for cats every day. How about salmon? Jasper would like salmon every day...

sardines are the safest...along with canned mackerel.
not sure id do every day...fish can lead to very stinky poop.
salmon I wouldn't do more than once a week.
same with tuna...both tend to be high in mercury.

Sardines can be given safely once a week. Many raw feeders use sardines in their rotation for the vitamin D. I would not recommend giving them every day, and even once a week, make sure you are feeding the kind with no salt added, packed in water.

Callie loves canned fish meant for people.... but then Callie will eat almost anything. Most of the fish my cats get, and not all will eat it, is raw fish when I make it for myself a few times a month. Usually talipia.

Jasper is basically skin and bones. People ask me if I feed him! He gets Royal Canin dry food, a can of Fancy Feast every day, and bites of what we eat at every meal...plus he gets treats.
If I could fatten him up, I would. He is just one of those naturally lean types...
