Was he an indoor or an outdoor cat? Unless he was chased, he probably is within 2 blocks of where your aunt lives. I would go door to door and search under bushes and in back yards. He could be hiding in a storage shed or garage.
Lost cats have been found 5 years after being lost hiding just 5 houses away from their home. They don't typically stray far and wide unless chased.
When you search, bring some canned food. Make a familiar sound that your aunt might have made at his feeding time. Don't expect him to "Meow" because cats who are lost are afraid and don't want to give away their location to potential predators. You could put his picture on Craig's list. Don't include his name though. Just include a contact phone number and a description of the cat and where he was last seen.
I understand that some shelters will post a courtesy photo of your cat on regional sites like "PetFinders" so photos will get better placement than if you did it on your own.
You could also set up a have-a-heart-trap if you could check it daily. Some people use infra-red cameras that turn on when there is movement when they think a cat might be hiding in a certain area to see if it will come out and inspect the food in a trap.
