I have a kitty that I rescued when she was approximately eight weeks old. She was infested with fleas and it took four hours of bathing her before we could pick every one of those things out of her. She is now approximately a year and a half old and she suckles on every other cat I own. The person I got her from did not own the mother and I believe that this kitty was separated from her mama too young. I don't do anything to stop her. First of all because she doesn't seem to be hurting either herself or the others and second because they seem to like it. She snuggles into a group of my cats and they all enjoy the snugglefest. I honestly don't believe that there is anything to worry about with this situation.

DH has one cute cat suckling his T-shirt right now while he naps on the couch. He'll wake up and grumble about the drool mark but she's too cute to scold for it.

Our oldest cat would suckle (or try to) our earlobes. DSD was a hard sleeper and would wake up with raw earlobes. She also sucked her middle and ring fingers until she was in the 7th grade. One day we noticed she'd stopped doing that. Even in her sleep. My theory is that she couldn't get her fingers to her mouth in the middle of the night with a grey kitty in the way busy sucking her earlobe. I give him all the credit.
