On the bed. Depending on the season, one cat will find a way to get under the covers.

Any new item, especially furniture, must be 'broken in' immediately. If it's deemed acceptable, a permanent claim will be established (until something better comes along).

Yes, the bathtub is a favorite here when it's 90 degrees and I don't have the central air on (I have a basement where kitty can go and there's a cat couch down there).

That's weird about not moving when the water comes on.

She's 20 years old and fascinated by running water. In fact, she has this ritual over her water bowl - she meows at it first, then dunks in 1 paw, pulls it back, licks it, then tries the other paw, pulls it back, licks it and she will endlessly stare at herself in the water as if she were a zombie.

I guess that's called being an eccentric "old lady" cat. LOL

No doubt that's the best bed in the house, in their opinion.

I imagine lots of get-well purrs going on there.

We have two cat trees but they prefer the one next to the windows. Really anywhere there is sunshine, they're right there in it. (We're in California.) I have one that sprawls out on the carpet, belly up in the sunshine.
