Other than the obvious answer - my kitties - I have a thing for dilute tortoiseshells and calicos in particular:

Also Russian Blues, Bengals, Ragdolls, Silver Tabbies, certain Siamese cats, etc. And speaking of beautiful, my mother's Blue Abyssinian (Jasmine) ain't bad!

I wonder if these fine-breed cats are allowed to go outside at all?

My mother never lets her Abyssinians go outside, but they do escape from time to time. When my brother's Aby (when he was in college and the cat was still with my mother) got out once, he was hit by a car but survived after some VERY expensive surgeries... then her Aby Ginger escaped from the current house, and disappeared for a week before a neighbor found her alive & well. So I guess they're not really outdoor-savvy cats!

I have a (nearly 14 year-old) purebred Blue Persian myself, and do let him out late at night to gather his wood chips. Long story, but he goes crazy if I don't let him collect a few of those nightly. Weirdo, lol.

I think black cats are so mysterious and beautiful.

I just realized that I haven't seen the black cat that used to love to sit on my porch for a few months. I hope nothing has happened to her.

During the middle ages black cats in Europe were purged and burned on bonfires - like witches. But there is indeed something mysterious about black cats. A dark shadow under a cold, frosty winter moon.

I am partial to a shiny, seal-brown Burmese or a longhaired tortoiseshell...

Beautiful cats!

I had a Tortie many years ago who was quite the chatterbox, and always had to have the last word.
It was one of the many things I loved about her.
