well almost every meal. The cats are fed about every 2 or 3 hours till bedtime. We feed them on the counter in our master bath and about twice a day or more often he eats and then jumps down and poops in the litter tray..healthy poops.

Does your cat do this? Seems a bit odd to me but he has always done this.

Nope, none of mine do that. Litter boxes get the most use during late afternoon & overnight. I don't really have a set feeding schedule, mainly because my 4 girls don't care to dine together at the same time. I usually just dutifully open cans when I'm summoned, as that seems to be my most important function around here.

Yours must be graduates from the same school of human training as mine! Ms. Peaches gave me good bath while putting her in the carrier to take her in for her check-up today.

Eating stimulates evacuation in both humans and animals so unless there is something else wrong don't worry.

One of mine immediately poops after eating and then sleeps.

The other one immediately sleeps after eating and poops when she wakes up hours later.

Yep, we have a set routine here every morning. I feed them their morning wet food (Lucky and Daisy) and right after eating, Lucky goes to the water bowl, drinks a lot, then he heads to the litter box. It is like clockwork.
