my little one does, but my older two cats don't.
i think it depends on the cat
especially, when they like the new litter, all three cats are like this hehe

Speaking as another totally devoted/trained human, I completely understand what your DH went through.
Getting strange looks from friends & family just goes with the territory. Had I been one of your guests, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.... having 'walked a mile in his shoes' and all of that. Sounds like you picked the right guy.

Same here... but then we keep two LARGE litter boxes cleaned twice a day, so they can spread out and do their biz in comfort.
