Totally agree. Maybe, OP, consider making a post on their facebook or other social media page? Even if it doesn't end up in donations, it may very well end up in more animals being adopted out. Some people are nervous about adopting animals from shelters because of this issue. To know that the shelter will work with adopters like this is a good thing to know.

My shelter kitty had an URI when I brought her home but very common methinks and it passed most readily. Wasn't serious like Sir Francis' sitch.
So nice to hear such good news.
PS: My shelter kitty is 11 and has been 100% healthy in the 10 years I've had her after that initial URI.
