That's a great story. So glad they didn't keep them separated, and this wonderful woman came along.

There is a wonderful Blind Cat Resue not far from here. They do not adopt out because they figure these kitties have been moved around enough! You can watch them 24/7 on closed circuit TV which is great fun. I understand blind dogs and cats get around very well for the most part.

My wife and I had a cat named Bo in the late 90's that went blind at around 10 years old (never did know why). He was born in the house so he knew the lay-out quite well. But it was amazing to watch him move about. He knew exactly where he was all the time, and he never bumped into anything. At the time we had a smallish fenced in back yard and a cat door that Bo & his brother Mikey used to go outside. He never had a problem even out there. If you didn't know he was blind, you couldn't tell by watching him.

Bo died a few years later, but I'll never forget that he dealt so well with his blindness. An animals' adaptability is something to behold, and we humans could learn a thing or 2 from them.
