...to take care of three cats for a week?

A couple of things to consider:

- this person lives five minutes away.
- this person has three cats of her own.
- the cats only need to be fed and watered and the litter box scooped once/day.

Thoughts?

The going rate in my area is $10 daily for a cat.

You can probably get a lower rate, though, like three for $25!

$100, seems reasonable.

I charge $20 a day to take care of dogs. I would charge $10 per day for a cat.

My neighbors pay my 8 year old $15 a day to scoop the poop twice a day and feed once a day for their 2 cats when they leave town. And there is technically a 3rd cat that they've adopted that sits on the porch so she has to feed and water that one too.

Are they also picking up mail and stuff that people throw on the driveway? :-)

I'd offer $20 a day, and don't get chintzy on "half-days", etc. Three cats can poop up a storm!

I charged $10 a day for up to 2 cats, $2.50 per additional cat after 2 when I was petsitting professionally so your bill would be $87.50...
Most clients also tipped, so a week for 3 cats would ypically bring me in between $90-$100 depending on ow generaous the tip was...

I'm leaning towards $150 for the week. That's $20 per day plus a little more. I hadn't considered the mail, but that does need to be included.

Thanks all!

I wish I lived five minutes from you! LOL This sounds more than generous to me.

You may wish to ask her to turn lights on/off or use timers to give a sense of activity.
