Maybe there's hope for New Jersey after all.( ducking for cover now).

Best news I've heard in a long time. It's a very good sign, and I think before too long, other states will follow their example.

The bill only was approved by the Assembly Committee; NJ (my home state) has in no way banned declawing as of right now. It has to go before the full Assembly, the Senate and then get signed by the Governor. A lot can happen between now and then.
