Yeah, I've noticed similarities too. But I've had to teach myself
read the text instead of looking at the color. I don't know much about the other brands, but with the Fancy Feast that my guys like it's easy to mess up and get the wrong flavor/type/cut, etc.. That's because FF has more varieties of food than the number of colors in their labeling machine. For example, Salmon & Shrimp Classic Pate has a dark green label.... and so does their Turkey Feast Grilled. I defy anyone with 70 year old eyes reaching back into the dark at the back of the shelf for those last remaining cans to tell the difference between the two. Of course when you get home and discover the 10 cans of Salmon & Shrimp are actually Grilled Turkey, you know you have a problem because your 2 darling princesses won't touch it with a 10' pole.
As I recall there are maybe 3 sets of colors that are so close to the same, you would need some high dollar forensic analysis to tell them apart.
I know I'm probably not the only one that has fallen victim to insidious lookalike colors, and my best advice is "read the labels folks".
Yeah... an exaggerated rant, but I've had that happen to me too many times. Thing is, over time that cabinet where the wrong cat food is gets full. So I either have to throw it away and waste money, or eat it myself. I can't give it away because we don't have a shelter, and none of my friends/family like cat food either. Note to self.... "TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE WHEN YOU BUY IT".
