I am happy to report that a little over two weeks later Bruce is finally integrated into the home. He's even slowly becoming friends with Jack, they will sometimes chase each other while doing their happy/excited growl tearing up and down the stairs.

We first let Bruce out on his own, under our supervision after he had been staying with us for about 5-6 days. Bruce and Jack had already had many interactions through and under the gate, when Bruce lived in my office. Integration with Jack's big brother Watson, was a little bit more slow going, due to Watson's shy boy nature, but now even Bruce and Watson do not mind the presence of one another. They are able to eat off the same plate, and sleep on the same couch. I have 3 litter boxes, one for each cat, although they use them all interchangeably. Hopefully within a month or more time the cats can become closer. Right now the main issue I see is that Bruce has far more energy than the two slightly older resident cats, he often wants to play when they often don't, although sometimes Jack will play with him. Bruce has been calming over the past week it would seem, as he's become more used to his surroundings and his new feline companions. Thank you for all the help and advice along the way.

Most of the time the cats will find a way to work it out. Glad to hear yours did. But you get some credit too for doing things the right way. Introductions are much more important that one might think. A bad intro makes a equally bad impression on the cats involved, and that can spoil their relationship for a long time.

You did a good job.

Glad it's all working out. It's a lot.. and we live and learn, but good there are pet-parents willing and able to make welcoming homes for these little guys.

She's probably been ok with Izzie for a while, but she's not going to let you know that.
