What can I put on my cat to prevent ticks. I used frontline plus (because it worked on my last cat) and his hair fell out where it was applied. Is Advantage only good for fleas?

Advantage is only good for fleas, but they also sell Advantix, which covers ticks and fleas.

Revolution is good for fleas, ticks, ear mites, and heart worms.

Unfortunately, Advantix is only for dogs.

One of my closest friends is a Vet. He tells me that the rainy season brings in sands from across the Atlantic/Africa.
Think hurricanes and the winds that bring them to USA.
The winds pick up the sands and African fleas, and bring them into the North Eastern Seaboard and Florida.

Not saying that fleas don't evolve, I'm the first one to stand up and believe in evolution. But the fleas blowing in on the winds are more voracious, according to my friend, and it's hard for the chemical companies to keep up with how to kill them without hurting your pet.

Ticks and fleas have 8 legs, making them in the same family as spiders. Currently, ivermectin-based medications are what kills them.
