A friend sent me this & I thought that I would pass it on. Hope it works

Eliminate ear mites. All it takes is a few drops of Wesson Corn Oil in your cat's ear... massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing.

I have used jojoba oil, mixed with a drop of tea tree oil. My cat doesn't have mites, I am told, but does have wax buildup. She doesn't seem to mind having her ears treated, unlike trying to give her a bath!

if this works, it's only on the adults. you should retreat in 10 - 14 days to get the hatchlings.

Be sure it is mites and not a yeast infection. The icky black discharge looks the same. A vet with an otoscope can look in the ear to see the mites if they are there. If it is a yeast infection, this would not be a good thing to treat it with.

Ear mites are too small to be seen with the naked eye. It is a microscope that confirms diagnosis. Ugly little buggers.
