They claim scented things of all kinds are one of the five biggest indoor carcinogens. Gypsy is a really sensible cat in that she doesn't eat stupid things, but a lot of animals, especially dogs, will eat whole jars of scented hand cream if they like the smell. Ask me how I know. And even Mrs. Sensible took a liking to my organic insect repellent and took a lick of my arm covered in lemon and eucalyptus (and sweat). Anyway, I'm the one with the problem with scented things in spite of having lost a lot of my sense of smell, so we use none.

I once suggested to a friend whose cats both came down sick that she used a lot of lotions and she thought I was crazy. But the cats are on her and licking their feet and she was slathered in all manner of things. Just saying....

Have you done allergy testing? What is it like, how much stress on the cat, how much money, how did you manage to narrow things down?

If a food allergy test is what you are interested in having done, I would use this:

The price might scare ya, but there is no monkey business... no BS. Dr. Jean Dodds has a very good reputation!
