Thank you kindly. My wife and I are having a hard time with it right now. Second guessing ourselves, why we even called AC and then having him pinned up in a cage scared, given shots, neutered, and forcibly handled for 12 days. I would probably have had a heart attack, if I was done that way.

I'm sorry about Marley but better he passed in a warm, safe environment than outdoors from the raging infection.
My stray was running in the culvert trying to catch lizards to eat. She was young, maybe 8 months and very thin with her hipbones protruding. That was about a month ago. She is now spayed and living inside, adjusting to life inside a home. I don't think she was feral, just another cat that someone abandoned most likely. People seem to think cats are fine living on their own but they have short lives living out on the streets and I'm sure they are probably always hungry.
