Just another witch hunt. The copy reads like all the propaganda against raw feeding.

So many people think the death of a cat is a joke.

I don't see anyone laughing about dead cats here. There are no dead cats from this, or any other raw food recall, where the FDA doing their own investigations conveniently found some bacteria in a sample they took for themselves.

There have been far more recalls of contaminated kibble. And jerky treats from China have killed thousands and still not recalled. The 2007 melamine poisoning killed thousands or maybe even tens of thousands and yet those companies still are in business. Pentobarbital in pet "food" has also killed pets. How many have died from the toxic dose of vitamin D in Hills dog "food"? The PFI puts pressure on the FDA to close down raw pet food companies. It's no secret.

These little companies do cut into Big Pet Food profits a tiny little bit. And Big Pet Food doesn't like it.

The FDA as a public service posted the Company's announcement. It was the company itself (Go Raw, LLC) that made the announcement. I see no conspiracy here to degrade the raw cat food industry.

The FDA has been going after raw food companies for a while now. They are bullies, and do quite a bit of "creative" testing.

Some raw companies cave into the bullying, more have been fighting back lately.

Consumers are educating themselves about pet nutrition and species appropriate diets. This doesn't make the PFI happy, because it hits them in the pocket book.

Go Raw did their own testing. No batches came back positive. No pets have been reported ill. This is the NORM for allllll the other raw food companies that have been targeted by the FDA.

This food isn't available in my area, or I would feed it in a nano second. INCLUDING the "tainted" batches.

Cats' digestive system is designed to deal with pathogens. They have the shortest digestive tract of any mammal. Anyone who is worried about pathogens can surface bake any meat before they feed it to their cat. That's what Dr Pierson at catinfo.org does, and she's been feeding a homemade diet to her cats for well over a decade.
