Stupid owners, what monster would rather toss a defenseless animal instead of giving it to a shelter.

Kudos to that hero for saving the cat in an almost instantaneous, instinctive reaction.

A Russian cat rescued from a rubbish separator at a waste processing plant has been adopted by the Ulyanovsk region’s environment ministry and given an honorary title.

The black and white cat has achieved local celebrity status in Ulyanovsk, a city 435 miles east of Moscow, after surveillance camera footage showed a worker at the sorting facility grabbing a bag from a conveyor belt and opening it to discover the feline inside.

“I felt something soft inside the bag,” plant worker Mikhail Tukash told the tabloid Moskovsky Komsomolets, Reuters reported. “I cut the bag open slightly and I saw eyes looking back at me.”

There are some sick and evil people in the world. No other would do this to a cat. Or a dog. Or a hedgehog. Or any living being.

Yes, there are evil people in the world and the relentless, hysterical cat hate spewed out by The Audubon Society, The Smithsonian Institute, wildlife and environmental groups creates more irrational hatred of cats.

Our second cat was found in a paper bag in a dumpster with four dead siblings. She was a tiny thing but fierce. When we would feed her and our one year old male together she would guard the food plate and growl at him. He was three times her size but would back off until she finished eating. They eventually became mates for life though. Her name was Alley Cat and his was Beast, but he was really a mush cat.
