here is tessa.. she lived to be a ripe old 23 or 24..not really sure she was a shelter kitty

and here is ozzie(black & white) and lita... they were both shelter kitties..i saw ozzie at a petsmart at one of the adoption-athons they have..the first time i saw him he was wedged into his litter box.. and looked like a loaf of bread.. he was really shy in the beginning.. he liked to hide alot.. but when lita was added to the family.. he really came out of his shell..as you can see.. they are in love..
Thank you for sharing everyone... These are all wonderful pictures of those furballs that rule our life. I"ll try to dig some pictures of my Heckyl. She is 18, older than my kids. I got her from a shelter when she was only a couple of months old with her broker Jecklyl but he died when he was 9.

This really doesn't do Buster justice. He's the ultimate love bug! He LOVES everyone. Anyone who comes into the apartment, he meets them at the door and gives them the same tour! He won't stop until he's shown every person his food dish (even demonstrating how he eats). Then he takes them into the bathroom and shows them the litter box (sans the demonstration) and then hops into the tub and shows them how he likes to drink from the dripping faucet. (I have to leave it dripping for him because he lets it drip onto his front leg and then licks it off. This is how he drinks!) Then he'll take you to the recliner and make you sit down. Once you do, he'll lie down on your feet or jump up and sit on your chest. He loves to have his face touching yours. He's hysterical and such a clutz! His official name is Mr. Buster Beans, but he only makes the vet call him that. He actually thinks his name is Silly because that's what I've said to him most of the time when he's performing his silly antics!
I was going to call him "Geezer" because he has two white armpits in the front and a triangular white patch on the bottom of his underside between his two back legs, like a diaper!
